Sharing knowledge, ideas, tips and tricks about all thing related to SQLBits - the world's largest Data Platform conference!

Bringing children to an event is not an easy decision, but we want to change that!

When it comes to childcare at SQLBits, we’ve got you covered. If you’re a single parent, you can’t find a babysitter, or perhaps you just want your child to come along to SQLBits with you, we have a dedicated area that revolves all-around your little ones – a creche!

We are giving you the quality childcare you need to ensure that you’re certain your kids are safe and having fun. We offer a range of activities and areas within our creche such as a Home Corner where they can play with pots, pans, dolls, and prams to offering dress-up so that they can look just like you in your fancy dress!

In our childcare, your child will also get the chance to delve into some creative play with a range of assorted activities to keep those little fingers happy! Our exciting and interactive childcare includes; painting, model making, play dough, collage work, wooden spoon puppets, the list is endless!

Here is a list of some activities that will be on offer at SQLBits this year for your little-uns…The activities stated will be dependent on ages of children attending the creche at the time

Baby Corner:

If you have a youngster that needs all the essential equipment such as; travel cots, bouncer chairs, high chairs, and baby changing equipment, including nappies, then you don’t have to worry, we’ve got your back (as well as loads of baby-friendly toys, a baby ball pond, and even a large Soft Play area)

Books, Puzzles and Games:

We have activities to cover all ages, whether they want to read a detailed book or a picture book, we are sure to provide fun for everyone! We will be offering a wide selection of constructive and computer games, game tables that include snooker, table tennis, mini football, and Air Hockey so your older children can benefit from creche too.

Play Equipment:

This includes a slide, mini climbing frame, trampoline, rocking boat, “cozy coupe” cars, push n’ ride walker, large soft plastic bricks, hoops, and skittles, ‘sit in’ spinning tops, cubes with connecting crawl through tunnels. There will be a wide variety of enjoyment throughout the day with our playtime equipment.

Constructive and Imaginative Play:

Does your child’s imagination run far and wide? We have everything from Duplo and Play Mobil to garages, cars, and train sets so they can explore their imagination with no limits!

Music and Dancing:

Throughout the day we’ll play a variety of children’s music, and let those little feet run wild by incorporating dancing, as well as letting loose with some singing.

Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty. The more information died of things such as qualifications.

  • All members of staff will hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • At least two members of staff will hold a current ‘Award in Food Safety in Catering’. This will be a minimum level 2 award.
